Condition:
Moderate surface grime; minor frame wear, most notably along right edge; under UV light, there appears to be no inpaint.
Provenance:
The artist; Themal Hamlin, the artist's sister, gift from the above; By descent to the present owner. Edith Hamlin and her husband, Maynard Dixon, resided in Arizona from 1939 until his death in 1946. She remained in Arizona after her husband's passing and eventually returned to her native ground, San Francisco, in 1953. Hamlin is best known for her WPA murals for Coit Tower and the Santa Fe Railroad.
